Vorwärts Osttruppen is always looking for new members who share an interest in history, living history, and historical research.

Our group focuses on portraying the Eastern volunteer units (Osttruppen) that served within the German armed forces during the Second World War. Because of the complex and sensitive nature of this historical subject, we place great importance on respect, research, and historical accuracy.

Minimum Age

Applicants must be 17 years or older to join the group.

Members under the age of 18 may participate in events but must have parental permission and follow all event safety regulations.

What We Expect

Reenactment requires commitment, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. 

Equipment

New members are not required to immediately own a full uniform or equipment set.

The group can provide guidance on acquiring the correct equipment over time, and experienced members are always willing to help newcomers build their impression step by step.

Our focus is on historical accuracy, so members are encouraged to research before purchasing equipment.
