During Bunkerdag 2026 in Den Haag, Vorwärts Osttruppen portrayed members of the Georgian Legion as they could have appeared while stationed in the Netherlands in May 1944. The impression focused on the presence of Eastern volunteer troops within German coastal defence formations during the later phase of the war, highlighting a lesser-known part of the Atlantic Wall history. With the bunker setting as a backdrop, the portrayal helped connect the public to the complex and often forgotten story of Georgian troops serving far from their homeland on the Dutch coast.
