Welcome to Vorwärts Osttruppen

Vorwärts Osttruppen is a historical reenactment group dedicated to portraying the soldiers of the Eastern volunteer units that served within the German armed forces during the Second World War.

Our focus lies on the often overlooked history of the Osttruppen – volunteers and conscripts from the Soviet Union and other eastern territories who served in various formations on both the Eastern and Western Fronts.

Through detailed research, authentic equipment, and educational displays, we aim to present this complex and often misunderstood part of history in an accurate and respectful way.

Our group participates in re-enactment events, living history displays, and educational demonstrations across Europe.
